Well organized, excellent maps, highly recommend

I just returned from a self-guided walking trip on the Portuguese Camino that I booked through Yugen Earthside. The trip was well organized, reservation was straight forward, virtual and paper maps were excellent, hotels were good or better. Highly recommended.

Great communication, accommodations, and directions

Great communication right from the start to finish. I felt totally supported. Yugen Earthside has a great rapport with their partner company in Portugal. Accommodation and directions were wonderful.

Do yourself a big favor and contact Yugen Earthside

This was an amazing self guided walking trip to Portugal's Douro Valley vineyard country. The views and country were awesome and we could go on and on about that, but what really made this trip awesome was Yugen Earthside and Hilary. These people are incredible with their first rate customer service and attention to detail. These days it seems hard to find any real customer service let alone first rate. If you are considering any type of sustainable travel do not look any further than Hilary and Yugen Earthside. Her service partners and all the details and instructions and communications were spot on. We would give them 10 stars out of 5. We met quite a few other walkers from other companies following a similar program and we have to say that we were easily traveling with the most outstanding company of them all. So if anyone is contemplating any type of sustainable walking/biking trips to any of the incredible locations throughout the world, please do yourself a big favor and contact Yugen Earthside. Thanks again Hilary, your the best and we loved every minute of the trip you set up for us. We look forward to the next one.

Wonderful walking trip through Douro

We really loved every aspect of our trip (though the daily hikes were a lot more challenging than I expected). Hilary was amazing and an extremely talented communicator. The pre-trip support was a 5/5 and the local partner provided an awesome orientation. Highlights: Great customer support, lovely accommodations, lunch!!

Amazing trip, embodied sustainability

The Sustainable Yoga & Wine Retreat seemed right up my alley as I'm a beginner at yoga but interested in learning more, and I was sold by the focus on sustainability that Yugen Earthside had on their site. The trip was amazing! Everything about the retreat embodied sustainability simultaneously. I feel like I learned a lot through each meal and activity that we did. I can't wait to book my next trip with them!

Incredible retreat in a gorgeous space

I went on the Sustainable Yoga & Wine Retreat in Portugal and booked through Yugen Earthside. The retreat was incredible, the overall space was gorgeous and relaxing. The food was some of the best I've ever had! The hosts were personable and it was such a well curated few days. I would absolutely recommend that retreat! Booking through Yugen Earthside was super easy and Hilary was very knowledgeable of sustainable travel options.

Retreat for my community that exceeded expectations

I organized a retreat for my community and worked with Yugen Earthside to book the 5-Day Sustainable Yoga & Wine trip in Alentejo, Portugal. This trip exceeded all my expectations and then some!

Starting with the accommodation/retreat center, it was perfect for our sustainable entrepreneur retreat. It had multiple indoor and outdoor common areas for coffee breaks, power hours, and happy hours. 

The outdoor activities were well spread out to allow us free time. There’s something for everyone, from yoga sessions, nature trails, coastal hikes, and walking to town. The best experience that kept giving was the sustainable winery tour, truly going above and beyond!

I would 100% recommend this trip for any active group or retreat organizer. Hilary from Yugen Earthside is the best and made this retreat extra special for us. I already had participants asking me if we are doing this retreat again next year!

Fantastic trip with delicious food

Walking Holidays in Portugal

We had a great hike in Douro valley, all the accommodations were perfect, and the people we met were so nice. In every place we stopped we had great hotel rooms and a pool to rest after a day hiking (mostly up). Especially Quinta do Portal was really excellent and had the best chef and meals we have ever had in Portugal. Thank you!
